This technical plateau groups equipments and methods for the quantification of trace and ultra-trace elements and their isotope compositions
The Technical Plateau “Geochemistry of Trace Elements” concerns the analyses of : Discrete measurement of Dissolved iron ; Multi analysis of trace metals / trace elements ; Multi analysis of non-conventional isotopes (lithium, copper and zinc) ; Nanonitrates ; Nanophosphates ; Multi analysis of major elements. Our equipments comprise: Two clean labs ; ICP-AOS ; (Perkin Elmer OPTIMA 8000) ; TQ-ICP-MS (iCAP MTX, planned for March 2025) ; MC-ICP-MS (NEOMA, Thermo Fischer Scientific, arrived in Sept 2024)

Sciences-Sur-Mer

As part of the Year of the Ocean, the Laboratoire d’Océanographie de Villefranche is actively participating in two major events: the One Ocean Science Congress and l’UNOC’3.
Our unit’s staff will take part in scientific discussions and associated events, and will also contribute to the “Sciences-sur-Mer” Festival (June 7–13, Villefranche-sur-Mer), which aims to strengthen the link between science and society by offering opportunities for dialogue between stakeholders and inviting both the general public and school groups to take part.
