The Argo program has grown considerably, becoming today OneArgo, the largest multidisciplinary program for in situ ocean observation, including the original Core mission (temperature, salinity), as well as 3 complementary missions: BGC (essential biogeochemical variables), Deep (depths > 4,000 to 6,000 m) and Polar (ice-covered areas beyond 60° North and South). The 23 project partners of Euro-Argo ONE will contribute to strengthening the capacity of Europe to operate the network’s profiling floats and distribute qualified data in real time and very high-quality data in delayed time. The LOV OMTAB team will be involved in the development of BGC-Argo variable qualification methods and their consistent implementation at European level, as well as in society-related activities, notably the development of the Adopt-a-Float educational program.
