Jordi Boada (Google Scholar) is a MSCA postdoctoral fellow at the Laboratoire d’Océanographie de Villefrance (LOV), France. His research focuses on understanding resilience and within the framework of his Marie Curie project (SHIFT2SOLVE) he aims forecasting the resilience of marine macrophytes as a tipping element to future environmental conditions by studying species acclimatization capacity. Additionally, Jordi uses drones and AI to identify patterns of ecosystem collapses. Jordi was previously a postdoctoral researcher at the Centre for Advanced Studies of Blanes, Spanish National Research Agency (CEAB-CSIC) under a postdoctoral program of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.

Sciences-Sur-Mer

As part of the Year of the Ocean, the Laboratoire d’Océanographie de Villefranche is actively participating in two major events: the One Ocean Science Congress and l’UNOC’3.
Our unit’s staff will take part in scientific discussions and associated events, and will also contribute to the “Sciences-sur-Mer” Festival (June 7–13, Villefranche-sur-Mer), which aims to strengthen the link between science and society by offering opportunities for dialogue between stakeholders and inviting both the general public and school groups to take part.
