Complementary Information
Robert Schlegel is a data scientist on the OMTAB team where he works on the RiOMar and HYPERNETS projects. Previously at LOV he was the data scientist for the FACE-IT project, which focussed on adaptive co-management of social-ecological fjord systems in the Arctic in the face of rapid cryosphere and biodiversity changes. His primary area of research has been the development and operational implementation of novel methodologies that quantify the physical drivers of extreme events in order to better understand their present and future impacts on marine ecological systems. To this end he is a member of the Ilico and CLIVAR marine heatwave (MHW) research focus groups, and has been an annual contributor to the WMO and BAMS state of the climate reports.
